On June 6th, WAKE Staff, Jon from the Turkish Embassy, and Conakry Nouvelle ventured to Fotoba to meet 8-year-old Mamanyeli Bangourac. Mamanyeli developed a severe tooth infection which has resulted in swelling on the side of her face. Mai lives on an island, where there is no electricity, running water, or hospital. We are thankful to have been connected to Mamanyeli through Jon to share her story with you all.
One month later, after testing we are so thankful to share that Mai underwent a successful surgery!​
